Stay well away

If you choose to stay at a hotel for a whole week or more, there are some things that are more important to another. I have thought about what would be important to me and then made the following list of things that Annes Hus offers based on what I personally appreciate and see as a necessity.

At the hotel

  •  Internet connection a must. Wifi works perfectly and there are plenty of electrical outlets in each room.
  • A comfortable table to sit and work or eat at with a reading lamp and a regular chair.
  • There are TV and CD players in each room. The TV channels are standard.
  • There are books in each room with different focus.
  • A nice sofa to crawl in with a blanket for your feet
  •  A warm and comfortable room where it is and easy to open the window and swich off the heat if you want at night by turning the thermostat.
  • A nice bed with electric sockets next to it
  • I value a room that is cozy and nicely decorated and colored with warm colors
  • In each room there are glass and crockery, kettle and cutlery.
In the hall there is a mini kitchen with sink, hob, fridge and micro
  • It is possible to have your laundry washed or borrow the laundry room and wash yourself.
In the three mini suites there is an extra bed if you want to receive visits.

Garden, sauna and A NEW EARTH

Having access to a garden I think is a great plus value if the accommodation takes place during the warm season. In Annes Hus there are patios in all directions and in summer the garden prints with flowers and leaves.

  • There is a sauna in the house available to guests.
  • There is an ongoing exhibition in Annes Hus. Read more below the heading A NEW EARTH on the website. As a guest you can freely acquaint yourself with the content and maybe be inspired.

Surroundings

The surroundings are of course very important and here is some information about the area.

There is free 24 hour parking on the streets. It’s just a matter of finding a place and not too close to a corner (15 meters from the intersection)

On a parallel street there is pay parking where there is almost always space. There is also a parking garage on Utlandagatan.

A quiet area and yet close proximity to the city’s pulse

Annes Hus is located in a quiet residential area where it is usually very quiet but still close to most. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the Swedish fair, Chalmers and Götaplatsen where the City Library, Concert Hall, City Theater and Art Museum are located.

The Swedish fair is located at Korsvägen, where the World Culture Museum, Universeum and Liseberg are located.

Communication

The bus stop Bergsprängaregatan is  2-minute walk from the hotel. Bus nr.18 and 52 pass with the route Sahlgrenska, Linneplatsen where the Botanical garden and Slottsskogen are and Korsvägen which is a hub for various bus and tram lines.  Right now, construction is underway for new stops for the West Link.

Service

In the immediate vicinity of the hotel there are grocery stores and restaurants.

Health and exercise

Walk or run around the Mossen sports field. On your way  you can meet five chickens that go freely but live in the white villa which you pass on your left hand on the way in to my daily walking path.

The area consists of old forest and an open area with football fields. I walk the loop every day and it takes about 30 minutes.

If you want to further exercise, FYSIKEN has lot of imaginable tools and passports you can choose.
